CARCO INDUSTRIAL MARKING FLUIDS

The products listed below represent some of the general purpose and specialized marking fluids available from the Carco formulary of several hundred marking inks. Carco manufacturers both Water Based and Solvent based fluids.

Dye Type (Transparent) Marking Fluids/Inks

Dye type inks are noted for their non-settling and non-plugging characteristics and are often useful in marking applicatons with low "through-put" such as reject marking. Dye types are excellent on light colored or bright metal surfaces. These inks are available in nine transparent colors and various dry times.

1044	A superfast, non-settling acetone-based, marking ink for non-contact marking systems. Often used in combination when marking defects found by eddy current, NDTand Ultrasonic detectors on very fast moving webs, tubes, or parts.
1000-I	A superfast, non-settling dye type marking fluid with excellent oil penetration and adhesion on all porous and non-porous surfaces. Generally used in Carco "jet shot" and spray system applications. Also used with the Carco ES-712-A Spring Marker.
1000-G	A medium, slow drying, non-settling dye type marking fluid with good stamping characteristic and open pad life.
1000-HF	A high flash, slow dry marking fluid primarily used where flammability and safety are prime considerations. The 1000-HF series is especially useful for Carco Spring/Contact marking applications.
1000-I FLUORESCENT	A solvent based ‘’invisible‘’ marking fluid activated by 366 nm ultraviolet light is available in many different dry times. Fluorescent-enhanced pigmented (visible) inks are also available in four colors and various dry times. These are designed for automatic luminescent or U.V. activated applications.

Solvent Based Pigmented Marking Fluids/Inks

Pigmented inks are heavily bodied and show up well on both dark and light colored surfaces. Pigmented inks are more light-fast and have greater chemical and wash resistance than dye-type inks. These inks are available in 20 stocked colors and a variety of dry times.

XX-1346	Superfast, acetone-based, pigmented marking fluid for dark or black substrates used when less than 10 second dry time is absolutely required for fast moving web, strip, or tubing manufacturing.
MM-150	A fast dry pigmented marking fluid with fair alkaline wash resistant and excellent oil penetration. The high oil penetration power of the marking fluids is most useful where oil and/or coolants are prevalent. Also used with the Carco ES-712-A Spring/Contact Marker.
F-123	A medium fast dry, heavy pigmented marking fluid. Recommended open pad/hand stamping.
SG-1260	The SG-1260 is formulated for caustic chemical resistance's, including alkaline, acid, and phosphate baths. Also used with the Carco ES-712-A Spring/Contact marker.
F-264	A medium slow dry heavily pigmented marking fluid. Developed for use in Carco Spring/Contact marking systems.
F-224	A high flash, slow dry heavily pigmented marking fluid primarily used where flammability and safety are prime considerations. The F-224 series is especially useful for Carco Spring/Contact marking applications.
SG-1290	The SG-1290, slow dry, marking fluid is formulated for caustic chemical resistance‘s, including alkaline, acid, and phosphate baths. The SG-1290 series is primarily used in Carco Spring/Contact marking systems.

WATER BASED PIGMENTED & DYE (Transparent) MARKING INKS

Water removable inks are available in both dye type and pigmented versions. These water soluble marking fluids are designed to be water "wash off." In addition, most water soluble inks are non-flammable, non-toxic and non-hazardous. The water based fluids are available in 9 transparent and 20 pigmented colors.

WS-800	A flammable solvent/water based-water wash-off marking fluid. The WS-800 exhibits a faster dry time and penetrates light oil films normally encountered on strip steels and ‘‘body-in-white‘’ automotive body panels.
WS-860	A non-flammable, non-hazardous, non-settling water based dye type marking fluid used on non-porous substrates where the mark needs to be easily removed.
WFL-860 FLUORESCENT	A water based ‘invisible’ marking fluid activated by 366 nm ultraviolet light. Fluorescent-enhanced dye type (visible) inks are also available in four colors. These are designed for automatic luminescent or other U.V. activated.
WS-910	Non-flammable, non-hazardous pigmented water based marking fluid designed to be easily water removed from dark or black substrates in the pre-wash before painting.
WS-835	Non-flammable, non-hazardous dye type water removable marking fluid that never dries. Excellent for rejecting marking where open pad, or open felt tip marker may sit idle for many hours before required making. Often used in Carco Spring/Contact marking applications.
WS-935	Non-flammable, non-hazardous pigmented water removable marking fluid that never dries. Excellent for rejecting marking where open pad, or open felt tip marker may sit idle for many hours before required making. Often used in Carco Spring/Contact marking applications.
