Marking Systems for Glass Handling

Since our founding over seven decades ago, Carco has been dedicated to helping manufacturers across all industries achieve the traceability they need. No matter the application, our contact and non-contact part marking systems are designed to provide clear identification quickly and easily, without causing damage.

Applications

  • Automotive Glass: Our non-contact and felt pad contact systems provide clear DOT numbers, production dates, and other markings for windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
  • Appliance Glass: Use our systems to identify replacement parts and mark safety compliance on oven doors, refrigerator shelves, cooktop surfaces, and other appliance glass.
  • Electronics: Carco’s systems can provide permanent, high-contrast markings ideal for electronics applications.
  • Construction: Our systems can gently mark building windows, safety glass, and other architectural glass with building codes and safety standards.

Our Solutions

The ES-400 Mini-Spray System operates at lower PSIs (5-30), making it safe for us on glass products, and is ideal for small facilities because of its compact design. This mini-system is designed to be easily integrated into existing workflows and features adjustable spray patterns (1/8” to 1/4” dots).

The ES-800 Series is a non-contact spray system designed for applications requiring flexibility and customization. Its integrated spray system allows for both small, controlled marks and color bands/stripes. The ES-800 is easy to set up and operate, and provides reliable performance in any industrial environment.

We designed our ES-1157-C Jet Shot Non-Contact system for fast-moving applications, including reject marking. This closed-system spray marker applies uniform non-atomized splatter marks onto all types of materials. It’s compatible with most of of our inks, including our water-based line, and only uses 2 ounces of ink per 1,000 shots.

Carco’s water-based inks are recommended for glass marking applications because they’re non-hazardous and can be easily removed from defective or reworkable material. Our inks are available in both dyes and pigmented formulations, and in quarts and gallon containers to fit whatever usage your team might need!
